This magnificent historical cortijo with private swimming pool and separate guest house, is situated in the hills above Almuñecar in the municipality of Lenteji.
Approx 24km from Almunecar on the mountain road to Granada, Los Mesoncillos is one of only two cortijos that existed in this area before the Spanish Civil war and before the road was built.
The main gate to the property is just off the main road and the driveway is concreted all the way past the guest house to the main house, finishing in a lovely courtyard, where an old fishing boat planted with mature shrubs acts as a turning circle.
The land is fully fenced and includes an orchard and many mature trees including olive, cherry, walnut, almond, peach, membrillo, plum and algorobbo. There is also a separate fenced area where the owners kept chickens.
The garden area to the front of the house and between the swimming pool is laid to grass, with more beautiful mature trees and shrubs. All fully irrigated.
